What is a subject?
A subject tells what or who the sentence is about.

First, look for the verb in the sentence. Then, ask who or what is doing the action. The answer is the subject of the sentence.
Examples:
Androcles ran through the dark field.
The lion roared ferociously.
The audience clapped loudly, waiting for the games to begin.

In the following sentences, practice finding the subject of each sentence by asking who or what is doing the action. Write your answers down on a piece of paper.
